After being the home for one of the oldest Spanish families in Santa Fe, the compound went through renovations in 1956 and 2017. The home is gorgeous with ample space for everyone to enjoy. The space includes a large master bedroom with its private courtyard and an outdoor fireplace, and two additional guest bedrooms each with bathrooms. For sleeping arrangements, there is an additional twin size daybed in the master bedroom and two single sofa beds in the living room. A favorite hangout for birds, the courtyard is a true oasis! With its beautiful trees and flowering plants, it embraces the house with plenty of outdoor space for entertainment, cookouts, dining or even meditation. The deck over the garage is accessed through steps that are embellished with Mexican Talavera tiles. Sitting here, you overlook the neighborhood and feel elevated to the gorgeous Santa Fe sky for a morning yoga, a fun conversation with your companions or sun/moonbathing. The hammock hanging between the old clothesline poles in the back courtyard off the dining room is the perfect spot for a rendezvous with your favorite book or to take an afternoon snooze in the shade of two magnificent elm trees. The XFinity Cable TV service provides an endless line up of HD channels. If that is not sufficient, the built-in AppleTV and soundbar can be used with your AppleID to access all the music or other content you desire, or the Smart TV will help you access any on-line entertainment service you subscribe to. The house is equipped with high-speed internet. Guest Access: Access is through a separate and lockable gate into the courtyard or through the garage. Seven foot adobe walls provide safety and privacy. Parking spaces include 1 in the garage, 2 in the driveway, total of 3. The indoor and outdoor space is yours. This is a historic Old Town compound and there are two attached casitas with separate entrances which will not interfere with your space and privacy. The neighborhood: The Rosario Hill neighborhood is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Santa Fe. Many Spanish families owned large parcels here through grants by the Spanish King. A diverse residential area, the neighborhood incorporates much older family homes next to renovated beauties such as this historic Downtown Mansion. Across from Arroyo Mascras, the feeling is one of living right by a river with tall and gorgeous elm and queen of paradise trees inhabiting the arrayo. Getting around: A leisurely short walk will get you to the Downtown busses. The Railyard District where you can find the organic farmers market as well as the Railrunner Train Station that provides transportation to Albuquerque Sunport Airport is no more than three minutes by car or Uber, or 18 minutes of walk. There are two routes to walk to the Plaza. The shorter route is through Griffin Street to the right of the house when you get out the door. The more scenic route is through the Grant Avenue and it takes about 10 minutes as it leads you by the historic Federal Courthouse and Scottish Rite Temple, the US Postal Service Headquarters, Santa Fe Convention Center and Georgia O'Keefe Museum before the beautiful Plaza. Turn left from the house and just follow the arroyo. Grant Avenue is the first right up Rosario Boulevard. Sec Deposit, first and last month's rent
