Position is part-time and paid through reduced rent and hourly compensation on a large, newly renovated 1BR+1BA unit with one parking space. Renovations include: new laminate hardwood floors throughout, granite kitchen counter top, new refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and microhood, new bathroom vanity, fresh paint and much more. Manager(s) should have a lifestyle or job that keeps one or both of them at home (or nearby) much of the time. The person could be a retiree, a parent, a student, or just somebody who works from home. A couple where one person stays primarily at home while the other works away from home would also qualify for the position. Job requires a strong sense of integrity and personal responsibility. Individual(s) will be expected to distribute notices to tenants, accept rent checks, show apartments for rent, receive vendors, and be on hand in case of emergencies. Position also involves monitoring security of building and grounds and keeping track of keys. A basic knowledge of email and word processing is required. Previous real estate or Resident Manager experience would be very helpful but not required. No maintenance skills are necessary as the position is primarily administrative though knowledge of building maintenance would be helpful.
