One beautiful bedroom available in a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath, 1500 square foot row house, set a block from the H St NE corridor. Two clean and tidy folks (one male, one female, not a couple, if you were wondering) in their mid-30s and early 40s occupy the other rooms. We both like to garden, hike, bike, and generally enjoy the great outdoors. Ideally, we are looking for someone in their 30s/early 40s, is friendly/considerate/kind, able to pitch in with occasional house work, motivated to maintain a clean home, a good communicator, and ok with a couple of classy house parties per year. Our location is ideal. We are a few blocks from 5 grocery stores (Giant, Harris Teeter, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Aldi), the fancy REI, Red Bear Brewing Company, multiple gyms, and several lovely coffee shops. We are a 7 min walk to Union Station and a 5 min walk to the NOMA stop on the red line. Our home features lush flower/vegetable gardens, two fire pits, and a large backyard with a deck. The house comes fully furnished, including a washer/dryer in-unit and lots of top-notch cooking equipment. Note: The room comes with a bed but is otherwise unfurnished, and we dog-sit a few times a year. The room for rent is a smaller room with a south-facing window and a large closet. Rent is $800/month plus around $150 for utilities (including a bi-weekly housekeeping service); the deposit is one month's rent. Parking spot available for $150/month, which will go towards house utilities. The room will be available starting December 1st. We are open to the idea of a short-term renter but ideally are looking for someone long term (6+ months). If interested please send us a quick intro email that includes some details on you, when you would want to move in, whether you're WFH or in-person, good contact information, and any questions you have about the room/the house/the other roommates! Gracias! Bryan and Mary Kate Utilities about $165 / month. Includes cleaning service.
