One of Hannibal's earliest homes built in 1844 known as the Van SwearingenHouse has just been restored! 56 Hannibal High School students enrolled in the Historic Preservation Trade Class under the guidance of Bob Yap of Historic Preservation, Inc. provided the labor for this unique project. The rear addition was a complete re-construction with a basement under-neath to house mechanical systems. Two story porch was reconstructed to match original. All windows have been restored to their original 6 over 6 design with rebuilt muntins. Wood shingle roof new in 2011.
