Cool breezes and beautiful sunsets help round out this two bedroom, one bath rustic, an authentic log cabin in the beautiful Whispering Pines Community. Just a short walk to the open forest and a seasonal running stream in the backyard. This cabin sits on the edge of the Verde River. Enjoy a large wooden deck open and spacious floor plan. It is our vacation home, so everything is here that you will need. Easily accessible from this location is Washington Park, the famous waterwheel and endless miles of hiking and biking. The property is located 20 minutes outside of Payson and is off a paved road. Please realize this is a wooden cabin in the forest. The forest has critters and occasional mice. There is no wheelchair access, and there are stairs at both entrances. It is only suited for people with full mobility. No smoking on the property. It is strictly prohibited. This property is best suited for the outdoor type who enjoys getting away from city life. You must know how to operate a wood burning stove and be able to chop wood if needed. There is no camping allowed on the property. No additional people are allowed to camp on the property. If you have small children and want to camp with them, that is acceptable and encouraged. The property has a cleaning team, handyman, pest control, and yard cleaning company attending to the various needs. In the winter months, it is cold in the high country. The cabin only has a wood burning stove and two space heaters. The water is turned off at the "main" which is located near the road. We do not provide wood for the fireplace. You can stop at the Houston Mesa General Store to buy wood or pick up a bundle in the town of Payson on your way out to the property.
