I have a room for rent in my home, which is in the S Lamar/Bluebonnet area. Available on August 1st. I am seeking a female roommate. The cost of rent is $700/month + half of the utilities. There is an initial deposit of $700 as well. The bedroom is 9' x 10' 8". Shared bathroom. The unit is a second story duplex on a quiet cul-de-sac. It's a wonderful central location, about 3 miles south of downtown. The total square footage is right around 1000. With the exception of the available bedroom, this home is completely furnished. It's a cozy and clean home, with a lot to offer to the right person. About me: I'm a 35-year-old working professional. I enjoy cooking, health and fitness, music, crafting, decorating, reading, the outdoors, gardening and the natural world. I like to take it easy and relax at home during the week. I occasionally invite a guest over to the house for dinner (this is rare), but it can also be nice to have quiet weekends at home sometimes. I am respectful about having people over and I expect the same from the person I live with. It would be nice to find a roommate who might even be interested in occasionally hosting some sort of community group together at the house. I am clean, responsible, respectful, and organized. It is important to me to live with someone who helps to keep the common areas clean and contributes to household purchases and taking out the trash, etc. I enjoy my independence and value my alone time, but I would like a roommate that I can actually get to know, as I'm not interested in a living environment that is not friendly and inviting. I believe in keeping an open dialogue to make for a comfortable living situation. Female, non-smokers only. Per the property manager, dogs are not allowed. Cats are allowed, and I'm willing to entertain the idea of living with your feline friend, if you have one. There are currently no pets living in this home.
