Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2012 “Call for Nominations” Atlanta sports fans, here’s your chance to be heard! ATLANTA, GA – August 2, 2011 – The Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame Issues “Call for Nominations” for its Class of 2012. The Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame is seeking nominations for its 2012 class. Nominations must be in writing and be received by September 19, 2011. For eligibility requirements, nomination forms and an overview of the selection process, go to www.AtlantaSportsHallofFame.org. The class of 2012 for Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame inductees will be inducted in June 2012. They will join the 38 members already in the Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony, which is open to the public, will include a reception, silent auction, raffle, and will conclude with the induction of the class of 2012. Proceeds from the induction ceremony will benefit the Hall of Fame youth education programs. The Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame was organized in 2002 to honor Atlanta sports heroes, remember great moments in Atlanta sports history, and preserve the past from which future generations can learn and take pride.
