Corner lot at Clarendon and Vernon. It's an older home ('49) with plaster walls (heavy and fairly soundproof). The floor plan is very livable with a large living room which flows into the dining room. Two large bedrooms and a bathroom (with separate tub and shower) make up the bedroom side of things. The basement is quite big too and keeps a steady temperature year round, which is good for storing wine. Neighborhood Description Washington Park is in sight from the house - next block down; walking distance to downtown Burlingame is a stroll through the park. The park is a great asset and is close enough that I treat it like my extra yard. I walk my dogs through the park every day, around Burlingame high, and end up home almost every day before I leave for work. Getting to downtown means just going to the other side of the park. I often walk to downtown Burlingame simply to grab a cup of coffee from Peets or Starbucks; check out the happenings at the Pottery Barn or go window shopping at the little boutiques. The CalTrain station is right on the other side of the park - it's my favorite way to get to a ball game in the city. Regarding the neighborhood: my neighbors are a mix of younger folks, most with have small children or are starting families. The remainder are people who have had their houses since the 40's and 50's. It's a great neighborhood to walk around (I walk to Nini's diner at Idaho street and Bayswater every Saturday and mix with the regulars).
