Tired of looking at the HUGE apartment living where you can literally hear your neighbor sneeze with the laundry list of fancy amenities you will never use? Trying to find an apartment in Seattle but want a nice private place that's close to everything in a happening vibrant community? Look no further. If you do NOT have pets, have a credit score of 750 or above and are non-smokers (seriously) then this is the place for you. We have one (only one) beautifully remodeled affordable home waiting for you in our very cool restored Phinney Avenue 4-plex building. We seldom advertise since we rarely have vacancies and when we do they are usually filled quickly by friends of our tenants making this a very nice community of its own. Originally built in the early 1900s as a home and then converted to apartments in the 1950s this building has a rich history in the Fremont community and our family. Proudly owned & managed by the Young Family women and maintained by our family's tradesmen this property has been in our family for 5 generations. Love to cook? The Piece De Resistance of this home is the kitchen. Completely remodeled into a dream for any culinary explorer, this kitchen boasts all new stainless-steel appliances that could make any meal feel like a 5-star dining experience. With an 18-cubic foot Frigidaire freezer and fridge and the specially designed "Store-More Gallon shelf", you can fit larger items such as milk jugs in the door instead of having it take up valuable space. This is one huge fridge, great for daily use or like when you're entertaining a large group for the Fremont Solstice Festival and need to keep goodies cold in the summer heat. Got a big holiday meal planned? Not a problem with this stove. This 30-inch stainless steel Samsung Gas range is your new best friend. With features such as self-cleaning, a Convection setting, delayed start, and a proofing setting specifically for making delicious bread or pastry dough, this oven has it all including a spacious drawer for storing cookie sheets and other bake ware. A truly exceptional feature is the range itself. This beautiful stove has five separate burners and sleek, removable cast iron grates, including an interchangeable griddle for breakfast foods or grilled sandwiches. After all the guests have left and the leftovers are packed away, there's still that mountain of dishes to do. Not a problem with a brand new 24-inch Whirlpool dishwasher. With a Sensor cycle to measure the load size and soil level to make sure it cleans properly and keeps you updated with an external progress indicator. Best of all it's Energy Star qualified to save energy, water and help reduce utility bills. This beautiful kitchen also features soft close drawers and doors, preventing that loud bang every time you close one. Additionally, each unit has its own Locking Mailbox. Both the furnace and hot water tank are gas & very efficient. We have installed brand new laminate flooring throughout that really brings this place all together. We have Milgard double pane windows and a glass slider to a nice covered deck that can be used all year long. WSG is included in rent (with some limitations on use). Outside the apartment itself, is a vibrant community filled both day and night with all kinds of events. Tons of bars and restaurants are scattered along the main street as well as local shops and grocery stores and within walking distance of the Burke-Gilman trail. Try one of the many restaurants in the area, with places like the Silent Heart Nest, proudly serving delicious vegetarian foods, or Brouwer's Cafe if you want to try some Belgian style grub as well as a staggering list of beers and scotches. There are plenty of restaurants serving many different foods for any curious eaters, or if you just need your coffee then there are plenty of local options. Fremont has a festival or event for all ages and lifestyles, including the Summer Solstice Parade (a colorful Mardi Gras-style parade with the famous rogue band of nekkid bicyclists), Oktoberfest, Outdoor Movies and First Friday Art walk to name a few. Each Sunday, bargain hunters flock to the Fremont Sunday Street Market a flea market/farmer's market style gathering with food vendors too. In Fremont, you can take a tour of a chocolate factory, distillery, and brewery all in one day! You can also grab an amazing sandwich at Paseos, eat a freshly made pie at "Pie", slurp a bowl of Pho at Lucky's, or sit down for creative Mexican cuisine and a killer margarita at el Camino. The creative vibe is still alive and well here, with great galleries, boutiques, an excellent statuary and garden shop, and a couple of antique stores. No one leaves Fremont without saying hi to the Troll, checking out what is accessorizing the Interurban sculpture, or blasting off the Rocket. What's not to love about the Center of the Universe? Photo Descriptions: You enter through the living room into an open floor plan with an adjoining dining room and kitchen. A 12x12 covered deck is off the dining room facing the south. The kitchen faces the south with a window to the deck. From the living room there is a hallway to the bathroom that boasts a full size tub and shower with room for your bathroom decor/storage. Across from the bathroom is a deep coat closet with shelving behind for additional storage space. Between the bathroom and closet you enter the bedroom that has a very large, if non-traditional, closet to the left that uses all of the space under the stairway for clothing (three rods) and your dressers or storage as you might need. The bedroom is a nice space with a window facing to the north (no view, but private). Paint looks yellow - but that was from camera taken at night. Paint is a fresh neutral off white. NO PETS, NO SMOKERS and must pass credit check ($$) with a score above 750. WSG included (within average usage limits - tenants would pay overages if any). Off street parking is no fee. Street parking is available by permit from city with additional parking available for free on the west side of Phinney Ave North. Laundry in basement, Industrial coin op, $2 wash & $2 dry (gas).
