Built in 1907, this Neo-classical stately home is an instantly recognizable fixture on West End Ave. Previously known as the Neal-Grizzard House, it was given a historical overlay distinction in 2015. The Neal Family built the 4 bedroom house and lived there for a number of years before the first general surgeon in Nashville, Dr. Grizzard, bought the home. In 1965 it was purchased by Welch College and turned into their library, hence the signage over the grand front entrance.
