Large Loft + Small bedroom or office available in my 3BR Temescal Apartment (Price Drop!) Hello! I am looking for a housemate(s) for my 3BR apartment. I recently moved into this funky, old, sunlight filled 2nd floor unit and am hoping to find a great roommate(s) to share it with! My place is located near Oakland Tech- just minutes walk or bike ride away from BART, grocery stores and SO MANY great restaurants! The place has a cute shared backyard, on-site laundry, a bathtub and sunroom with a view of a gorgeous old walnut tree out back! I'm renting out both rooms together: the loft (14'x30') & small bedroom or office space (8'x10') are $1200/mo for one person or $1,650/mo for a couple; PG&E, water, garbage and internet are paid separately ($150-$200/mo per person). The two rooms can be furnished or unfurnished as needed. Up to 2 humans and 1 pet would be welcome! Open House this Saturday 11/15, 10am-noon or by appointment. -Rent does not include utilities (PG&E, water, garbage & internet) -Move in costs will be the first month's rent plus a deposit equal to one month's rent. -No smoking of any kind in the house (sorry this is not a 420 friendly household per my allergies) -Looking for someone(s) who can commit to staying through mid-May or longer (My lease will become month to month next May). About the Area: -11 minute walk to MacArthur BART and close to numerous bus lines -15 minute walk to Whole Foods / Safeway is about a mile away too -Close to Oakland Tech, the Temescal Pool, North Oakland Recreation Center & Studio One Arts Center -Almost any kind of restaurant imaginable is within walking distance on Telegraph, Broadway, 40th Street or Piedmont Ave! About the House: -Physical accessibility: The house is on the second floor with 24 steps up to the unit and another 12 steep steps up to the loft. -I have very high-speed internet (enough for two people to be on zoom meetings all day if needed!) -The unit is located in a triplex and has a living room, kitchen, pantry, large bathroom with a bathtub, sunroom/office/dining area and shared free laundry in the basement. -The kitchen/appliances include a dishwasher, microwave, fridge, electric stove, toaster oven, crockpot, blender and rice-maker. -The unit has a gas heater + I've added a couple of space heaters -There is a lovely backyard that is shared with the other friendly tenants. About me: I am a mature white woman originally from the Midwest. I lived in NYC for 5 years before moving to the Bay in 2016. I work from home 3 days/week and in the community 1-2 days/week. My other interests include board games, dancing, and most things outdoors. I am responsible, kind, friendly, thoughtful, a good communicator and easy to get along with. COVID Info: I received two COVID-shots in 2021 but have not had any boosters since due to a bad reaction to the original shots. Happy to mask in the house if either roommate is feeling sick but I generally don't mask in public anymore. About my Potential Roommate: -Queer-friendly and a non-smoker (tobacco or 420) -Sober or light drinkers are ok, but no heavy drinkers, partiers or drug use of any kind please -Able to keep common rooms clean and tidy and keep up with your share of house chores -Wants a balance of connecting as roommates but also each doing our own thing -Willing to use primarily unscented or naturally scented personal & cleaning products, candles, etc. -I love animals but my landlady is not too crazy about them. If we are a good fit, I can try asking her to make an exception but an additional deposit would be required. Please note the photos were taken before I moved in.
