Room details
Entire downstairs of lovely 2200 sq ft Cape Cod-style house 3 minutes from the Columbia/I-90 exit. Beautiful western exposure with long sunsets in the front and shade all day under huge birch trees in the back. Gas and charcoal grills and full seating for 8 on the deck which you are free to use. There is a large, climate controlled 22x22 detached outbuilding with 10-foot ceilings that houses a well-equipped home gym, entertainment system, tool bench, and storage area. This can be used by you for exercise, recreation and late-night movies or hangouts that would otherwise be a bit loud for the house.
Your 750 sq ft unit has a large living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a kitchen, bathroom, 11x17 front room and 8x12 back room, both with large closets. Generous windows with lots of natural light. Really nice wood-grained ceramic tile floors and good quality materials throughout. Shared washer dryer lives in your unit, I would need to use it at times agreed upon by you. You in turn would have access to the kitchen and dining room upstairs for any special dinners you want to hold. The unit is not furnished.
Street parking is available right in front of your unit. On the map the place looks too close to the highway, but it is actually on a bluff high above, through some dense woods, and not on a sight line, so highway noise is minimal - no different than being a few blocks off any Seattle avenue. The street has almost no through traffic or sketchy people, and is full of trees and beauty.
My name is Nick and I am a psychotherapist who will be seeing clients upstairs during the day - not a problem for you, but no loud noise during work hours (9-7 at the most). I am not an early bird and it would be best if your typical lights out was after 11 so I do not have to tiptoe upstairs. I love to garden and would be happiest to have another housemate with knowledge and experience in this area.
I love to mountain bike, ski, snowboard and run so if you share these interests we can hit the trails and maybe split gas on powder days at Stevens (Epic pass). I play acoustic and electric cello and DJ house music. I have people over for dinner weekly but the place is not a constant social hub. I throw some larger BBQ's or small parties a few times per year.
Looking for a tenant willing to sign a six month or 1-year least. Asking up front for first month and security deposit as well as a bill deposit. Bills are extra and quite moderate granted the good windows and heat pumps I have installed.
Please say a few things about yourself in your response - I will not reply to generic inquiries. It would be nice to have a friendly relationship although with largely separate units we do not have to be besties.
