And of course, Mt Bachelor and your favorite cross-country skiing, mountain biking and hiking areas are just 20+ miles up the road. Relish your riverfront perch from the master bedroom hot tub on the outdoor deck. Featured in an issue of Cascade East magazine in 2006, nearly every room in the house has a river view. Enjoy views from all the bedrooms as well as the light and bright kitchen, dining and living room. From the living room, you can watch the stand-up paddle boarders and floaters drift by or hop in and join them! This is the perfect home to experience Bend living in an unbeatable location. LIVING SPACE AND SEPARATE BASEMENT APARTMENT: You will have the entire main level and second story of the house accessed via a long walkway to a private main entry (on the north side), and one dedicated garage space (not attached) to yourself. The home has a separate basement apartment located partially below the main house and accessed via a private entrance (on the south side of the house) with completely separate living areas which is rented by a single (and exceptionally quiet) long term renter. If you glimpse someone, it will be in brief passing in the driveway. You are not required to share any indoor or outdoor spaces. On rare occasions, you may see a small friendly dog in the backyard. HEATING & COOLING This riverfront home has central heat and A/C on the main floor. There is a mini split heat and A/C unit upstairs to keep you cool in the summer. Or hop into the river in your backyard for a crisp morning wake up! In the living room a natural wood burning fireplace (easy to light with a gas lighter) will keep you warm and cozy on any chilly night too. Take a close look at the rocks making up the fireplace mantel. They were collected over the years from around the Pacific Northwest. Upstairs in the master you'll have heat from the mini split unit and ambiance from a gas fireplace to warm your toes all night. SLEEPING AND BATH ARRANGEMENTS Nothing better than sleeping on the river... Take your pick of the 3 river view bedrooms (King, Queen, Queen Sleeper Sofa) and 3 bathrooms. The king and queen bedrooms have private ensuite bathrooms. All beds feature crisp, high thread count linens and European style bedding. This home sleeps 6 very comfortably. The upstairs master bedroom (king), with an unencumbered upstream view of the Deschutes, has the only access to the private balcony and hot tub, so quickly claim that bedroom for yourself! The natural stone/glass block shower in the ensuite master bath, designed with a "peek a boo" view of the river, and large soaking tub will make you feel like you're at the spa. The master has a 42" smart TV with full cable hook up and a walk-in closet big enough for all your belongings. The main floor 2nd bedroom, adorned with bright central American decor, has a comfy queen bed, an ensuite bathroom with shower, an armoire to hold all your belongings, a 32" smart TV (antenna only, no cable) and a private sitting area outside the sliding glass door with a gorgeous view of the Deschutes River. You can use the main floor 3rd bedroom as an office or a family, exercise or craft room, if you prefer. It has a comfortable queen sleeper sofa with a TEMPUR-Topper Supreme 3-inch Mattress Topper, a 32" smart HDTV (antenna only, no cable), and a small sink. Perfect for snacks and movie or work with a peek-a-boo river view and private porch overlooking the entryway water feature and stream. A Pack & Play Crib is also provided for your little one if needed. Fresh linens always on hand to keep you extra cozy. LIVING, KITCHEN AND DINING Upon entry you'll experience the open feel of the living, dining and kitchen spaces. The living room boasts a leather sectional with electric recliners to enjoy both the river view and a 72" HDTV TV (Bend Broadband cable, Alpha DVR, Apple TV). Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with everything you will need! You'll have some spices, oils and basic supplies to get you started too. There is a dining table for 6 and an outdoor patio table on the deck overlooking the river. The gas BBQ is ready year-round at a moment's notice for grilling.
