This is the only residence in California designed by well-known modernist architect Paul Rudolph (1918-1997). The house is filled with abundant natural light, floating planes and large interior surfaces. Its open plan layout, complemented by floor to ceiling windows and Italian terra cotta paved floors in all of the public space (both inside and the outside) suggests a feeling of continuity as you float from room to room while enjoying natural light and a view of the expansive backyard at all times.
