Remote two-story AFrame on 5 acres in the woods at 1500' elevation. 20-minute drive to downtown White Salmon or Hood River. 4WD required in the winter to get up Courtney Road in the snow. Close to US Forest Service land with great hiking trails. Wildlife seen: deer, bunnies, bear, cougar, snake (only 2 in seven years), bobcat, fox, turkeys - lots of turkeys. There is poison oak on the property - not around house or nearby yard. Up to two pets allowed. The entire upstairs is the one bedroom. It could be curtained off to create a second bedroom. It's clean with a nice maple floor downstairs (carpeted upstairs, tile in bathroom). Ikea kitchen cabinets with large country kitchen sink. Living room has a slate-sided small wood stove. Can heat the place comfortably with either wood fire or mini-split (heat and a/c). Owner pays for water and once-a-month garbage collection. Renter is responsible for electricity, internet, and phone. Absolutely no smoking. No other people may stay more than four weeks a year on the property.
