The inside:
I've loved living in (and upgrading) this historic Alberta Arts bungalow for the last 8 years and I'm sad to leave it but I know you'll love it. All the kitchen appliances and the washer+dryer were all purchased in 2022 or 2023. The basement is huge and has plenty of room for storage and connects to the enclosed garage. 2 queen beds and a jack-and-jill bathroom round it out. And over the years I've put a lot of attention into the small details of the place, too. I'm really proud of how it's turned out!
The property:
The house is fortunate to sit on an oversized lot. With a wrap-around backyard, outdoor furniture, covered side porch, and Weber grill the functional space of the house is greatly expanded - especially in the spring, summer, and fall. On the side of the yard next to the side porch I planted 6 mature Magnolias. On the other side of the property there's a garden of local shrubs and trees that I'm enjoying watch grow. In the front yard there's a bunch of other local plants that I planted recently, too.
The neighborhood:
The Alberta Arts District is one of Portland's most iconic neighborhoods - it has everything Portland is best known for: great bars, restaurants, shops, art galleries, and more all within a short walking distance of the house! The house is also across the street from a New Seasons market (Portland's version of Whole Foods), a Walgreens, and there are 4 coffee shops within a 4 block radius. Travel Portland's write up of the neighborhood is great, just google 'Travel Portland Alberta Arts District'
Furnished. All utilities included but landlord pays for only the first $100 a month of electricity, anything over $100 a month is paid by renter.
The house has two beds and no more than 4 guests can stay at the house at a time. Friends can come over of course (the back yard is great for entertaining) but parties are not allowed (definition of party: 8 or more people) and quiet hours start are from 9pm-8am
