Live in what feels to be a vacation property full time and has actually been successfully used as an Air B&B! The historic Stonelick Red Covered Bridge is what drew us to the property originally and now we have gotten to look at it from our family room every night. My favorite time of year is when there is a snow covering on the bridge; so pretty. The property includes a mountain terrain in the rear that is great for hiking and leads to the oversized main house with a large fenced yard, gardens and two large driveways. To the right of the house is a large fenced pasture as well as another adjacent pasture across the street that houses a shed to match the house, hiking trails and access to the Stonelick Creek where you can swim or enjoy floating on a kayak. I enjoy sitting on one of the four porches and watching the wildlife emerge from the woods to drink and play in the creek. The house was built in 1935 and has recently been renovated with an addition. In 2020 we upgraded the electric from the original 125 to 200 to install a Tesla super charger. We also installed a new furnace and upgraded the air conditioner to a massive unit that can handle the additional size of the addition. In 2021 we painted the entire interior and exterior of the house as well as the shed to match. Both were originally white but the navy blue shows off all the little details so much and the copper accents on the porches make the color pop perfectly. The house is run on a 900 gallon propane tank including the gas stove in the kitchen and never worry about your showers running cold with an endless supply of hot city water warmed by the tankless water heater. When it’s cold or wet, have a fire in one of the two wood burning fireplaces or the cast iron stove. The stove is excellent to make tea and enjoy the view of the five tier frog and koi pond and fountain. You will never find a deeper two car garage than this, you can almost fit two small cars in one side. If you need more space there is a third garage in the second driveway. That’s right, three car garages! This home is the perfect place for rural living while still only being ten minutes away from Batavia or Milford. It’s the best of both worlds!
