Neighborhood Description Mira Vista aka East Richmond Heights is a quiet neighborhood with winding streets. Across from 537 Mount Street is the 2.5 acre naturalistic Mira Vista park with Baxter Creek running through it and a wide variety of trees such as Monterey pines, oaks, and willows. There's an expansive lawn area used by families at play and dog lovers. There are paths which take you up a hill and around an enormous rock outcropping. One of the rocks features Ohlone Indian grinding holes. The neighborhood council meets regularly and provides information on city government and public safety. In 2002 a handful of residents set their minds to beautifying Mira Vista Park. Working with a local sculptor (John Toki) and a landscape architect, attactive public art in the form of a kiosk, table, and benches were created leaving an enduring expression of their values.
