I am moving out of state and my roommate is looking for someone to take over my spot on the lease. The apartment is the first floor of a classic victorian house in Jamaica Plain. Hardwood floors throughout, a small but well-designed kitchen with lots of cabinets and a gas stove, plus a little brick patio and a backyard (unfenced but great for lounging). Laundry is in the basement and shared with the landlord, who lives upstairs. We're right next door to Franklin Park, and about a 10 minute walk to the Orange Line, so easy access to downtown. My roommate is Clara (39, she/her), a cozy homebody, knitter, baker, and PhD student who lives in a lovely 2BR/1BA in Jamaica Plain with her sweet and slightly spoiled dog, Mr. Darcy. Clara is looking for a new roommate with a move-in date between Oct 15 and Nov 1. Clara is quiet, friendly, and likes the home to feel cosy. She host the occasional dinner party, loves British crime shows, board games, and curling up with tea and a book. Mr. Darcy says one cat might be allowed (pending landlord approval), but please no dogs. Rent is $1385 plus utilities (internet is included!). I am happy to sell the furniture in my spacious room if you happen to need it!
