After the hurricanes (Frances and Jeanne of 2004) the house was reroofed, rear porch roof repaired and a portion (12 x 13ft = 156 sqft) enclosed off the master bedroom for an office/guestroom. In 2013 concrete base was laid around house and the bottom 3' of T-111 removed and replaced with concrete board, flat stone and capstone installed around the entire house. A new french door was installed in place of sliders on the rear porch. Gable fans were added and the house repainted on the exterior.
