    Come stay at Sunny Side Uplake, a cozy, clean, light-filled studio apartment, nestled on a private drive in a quiet neighborhood. You will have the entire basement studio apartment, with on-site parking and a picturesque back yard and patio. You'll feel like you are a part of nature, surrounded by distinctive landscaping, tranquil sights & sounds, bird song, abundant wildlife, and territorial views. We are 10-15 min to Downtown Bothell, Woodinville Wine Country, and the I-5 & I-405 freeways. Welcome to our single-family home nestled on a private drive in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful territorial views, intense sunrises, and trees surrounding your entire view. We have a chicken coop in the lower part of the yard that you can visit. The hens are friendly and love meeting new people, but their run and coop are poop-zones for your shoes. If you'd like to help feed them, or would like to hang out in their run with them, please bring extra shoes. Please reach out to us and we can set something up! Parking: You'll park in a designated spot closest to the stairs where you'll descend to your private basement studio unit. You can park one vehicle and you'll go down the exterior steps, though the wooden gate, and hang a left. You'll enter through the keypadded exterior door into your unit. The neighborhood: Our neighborhood is hilly with gorgeous views. Bring your walking shoes and head up the pipeline trail to Lake Forest Park, or just down the hill to Logboom Park and the Burke-Gillman trail with direct biking access to Seattle. Porch/patio: You'll have full use of our downstairs backyard patio, which is a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee as the sun rises over the mountains due east. You can bask in the birdsong, and you'll likely hear our chickens laying their morning eggs down the hill. There is a propane fire pit for your enjoyment. Studio: The basement studio where you'll be staying is below our main house where our family lives. You may occasionally hear us or our children upstairs, but we'll be done with family noise such as piano practice and dad jokes by 9 pm. Bedroom: The queen-sized bed has a very comfortable memory foam mattress. Additional pillows and blankets are available. Bathroom: You'll enjoy a full bath during your stay, and we provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and fluffy towels. Living room: Relax on the reclining leather sofa and use our Roku to sign in to your streaming subscriptions (Netflix, Prime Video, etc.) or enjoy one of our local PNW/Seattle guide books to plan your next adventure. An additional sofa provides extra sitting space and converts easily into an additional queen-sized bed with bedding/pillows provided. Dedicated workspace: Come work from "home"! The desk is uncluttered so you can set up your laptop and get through all of your emails and tasks. Feel free to work outside on your patio as you listen to the sounds of nature. No smoking allowed on the property. One car can be parked on the driveway. No cooking over the propane fire pit. No cooking with turmeric or other spices that stain.
