Cute 2 bed apartment is heart of SE Portland, a couple of blocks from Mt. Tabor and in between Hawthorne and Division. There are many great restaurants and stores a short walk away, and the neighborhood is safe and lovely. There is a wonderful backyard for summer BBQs and sunshine. The apartment has new appliances and brand new carpets and interior paint. It is a lower level apartment and there is a tenant that lives in the home above, but is only home half of the month. It has a separate entrance and is a completely separate unit. Looking for a responsible, kind, and easygoing person to move into the downstairs 2-bedroom apartment in inner SE Portland. The lease is month-to-month, so it's flexible and easy to commit for as long as it works for both of us. Would like to find someone that is looking for at least a year. The landlord covers water and garbage, which helps keep utility bills low. We split electric, gas and internet which is around $60 each in the summer and closer to $100 in the winter. The apartment has two bedrooms, but it's ideal for one person who wants either an office or extra living space. Updated appliances, carpet and paint. The neighborhood is unbeatable. It's quiet, safe, and beautiful, just a few blocks from Mt. Tabor and walking distance to some of the best spots in SE Portland on Division and Hawthorne. There is a large driveway you can park in, and a beautiful fenced backyard complete with a hammock, BBQ and patio set to host and enjoy summer evenings. I'd love to find someone who's open to occasional BBQs in the backyard or sharing a hang now and then, but the living spaces are completely separate, so there's no pressure to socialize and I tend to keep to myself. I'm run a non-profit in the arts, and I split my time between Portland and Hood River with my partner, so I'm gone often. I'm outdoorsy, spend a lot of time on the go, and when I'm home, I use that time to relax and recharge. I do go out occasionally for a weekend night, but respect my downstairs neighbor's when I return home. I'd love to find someone in the 30-45 age range with a similar lifestyle and schedule. I'm looking for a tenant who is low-key, and respectful. This space is a great place to come home to and host, but not the optimal space for someone that likes to host regular parties or blacks loud music regularly. Having fun is important of course, but it's all about the balance. If you are interested please respond with an overview of who you are and your situation. Including - info about you, your employment, interests, schedule, why you are moving etc. This will make the process easier for us both to see if it's a good fit. I won't respond to inquiries that don't include the above information to save us both time. I prefer no pets and no regular tobacco smokers, but I'm open to discussing a drama free animal if that's important to you. Sorry - not open to renting the space to 2 people, but of course your guests are welcome. Thank you and happy hunting! The space is available either beginning of Sept, middle of Sept, or Oct 1st, willing to work with what is best for the tenant.
