Welcome to "Old Yellow", the oldest home in the village of Wickford! It is also known as the George Thomas House. It was built between 1739 and 1735 and has undergone incredible restoration by its owners. Preserve Rhode Island gave the property the 2002 Preservation Merit Award for the Residential Restoration/Rehabilitation that was accomplished by the previous owners, their architect and the general contractor. It is located on the waterfront and had magnificent gardens, a wonderful storage shed, and even an outhouse!! There are 2 staircases, a wonderful gourmet kitchen with room for a large dining table.
