An established place in an orange grove of the 1960s, you see lots of orange and grapefruit trees; oaks arch the streets, forming canopies; the color here is predominantly green, and there is lots of shade, as well as lots of sun. A comfortable, homey place for anyone; a quiet place to raise children. Churches are all around. Next door is the city of Maitland, another bedroom community of Orlando, as is Altamonte Springs. Two miles from our house is our city's Crane's Roost Park, built around a lake with a one-mile paved circle for walking or jogging along water's edge, a band shell, and new city shopping and eateries called Uptown Altamonte.
