Bent Creek Townhouse Homeowners Association, Inc. is one of the largest, if not THE largest, incorporated communities in Raleigh, North Carolina with 349 townhouse units. Conveniently located in north Raleigh, Bent Creek is situated on Lynn Road 1 mile west of Six Forks Road, 1.5 miles north of the inner beltline (I-440) and 3.5 miles south of the outer beltline (I-540). Founded in late 1980, Bent Creek townhouses have been in high demand since its inception. Bent Creek offers a relaxed and wooded environment with easy access to the amenities offered by the prestigious north Raleigh area. Residents of Bent Creek enjoy the exclusive use of swimming and tennis facilities. Adding to the overall enjoyment of the community, the Association performs all exterior maintenance and landscaping. For those whose routine includes a daily constitutional, there is a paved trailhead for Raleigh's Greenway (map) located at the intersection of Bent Creek Drive and Longstreet Drive. This section of the greenway runs approximately 1.5 miles south to Shelly Lake on Millbrook Road where you can find exercise stations, benches and scenic overlooks. If you loop around the lake to the northeast corner, you'll find a trail leading east to Six Forks Road terminating just south of Northcliff Drive. From the southwest corner of Shelly Lake, the greenway trail continues on the other side of Millbrook Road south to Glenwood Avenue (that's an additional 1.5 miles) where it splits into northwest and southeast trails. Proposed extensions will eventually take these trails out to Umstead State Park and New Bern Avenue.
