Attractive 3 bedroom condo with secured entry having central air, washer/dryer, gas fireplace, open patio and enclosed garage with remote/keypad entry. Repainted in last 3 months. Improvements include plantation shudders, silhouette blinds, new kitchen flooring, shower doors & extra cabinets in master bath, new stove and garbage disposal, overhead wall rack for pots & pans, add'l storage shelving in closets and garage, undercounter lighting kitchen, etc... Will consider leaving much of the furniture if price agreement is satisfactory. Fantastic location, walking distance from Jordan Creek Mall, hardware stores, costco, theatres, multiple restaurants and grocery stores, as well as very easy access to all mahor highways. I moved to Des Moines in Aug '09 and rented in this complex for a few months before deciding to purchase here. That winter was the worst I had experienced for snow before this year, but, the management did an outstanding job of keeping sidewalks/driveways free of snow (great response time and maintenance), that was a motivating factor for buying here. Another was a large reserve fund, meaning it unlikely to have special assessments for maintaining the property ( unlike several locations I looked at before purchasing). A reserve study (using an outside corp) was done by the association to better gage and plan future utilization of funds- a really sensible plan and one rarely seen in most complexes. The complex does allow one pet under 35lbs., however, no new rentals/sublets are allowed without incurring a monthly penalty which keeps insurance rates low.
