This is a typical, working-class, older Kenosha neighborhood. It's quiet, and people here are good neighbors, work hard, and look out for each other. There is a good mix of houses, duplexes and apartments, and many of the houses have been bought and fixed up by younger couples or families. Previous owners were often older folks who moved out to assisted living or nursing homes, or families who owned these homes since Kenosha was platted. The neighborhood was recently designated an Improvement Zone, which helped the overall look and feel- this designation ended a couple years ago. Lots of trees and shade, and the sidewalks and streets were repaved no more than 5 years ago. Lovely older neighborhood- perfect starter homes and affordable housing.
