First of all, the location opened the city up to us. It was easy to walk or bike to Washington University for class. It was even easier to walk down to The Loop (named one of the 10 Great Streets in America!) to get dinner at Blueberry Hill and then head over a few blocks to catch some live music at The Pageant or a foreign film at the Tivoli Theatre. And it was hard to beat the convenience of walking to the Metrolink station to catch a train to the airport or downtown for a Cardinals’ game! When we did drive, it seemed like we were never more than 20 minutes away from anything in the county, whether it was heading to summer concerts at the Missouri Botanical Gardens or to snag a great Craigslist find in West County.
