This 800 square foot airy apartment is on the lower level of 2007 constructed residence. The unit is a purpose-built, comfortable living space with extra-height ceilings and full-size windows that bring in lots of sun. It is decorated in light colors, the bathroom is tiled, and rest of the space was finished with bamboo floors. On street parking is ample and available in front of our home. Pet friendly. You'll enjoy an open and cheery dining room and living room, TV, free Wi-Fi, a fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom and a bedroom with a comfy queen-sized bed. A mini dishwasher and full-size washer/dryer are included. The apartment is accessible via a ramp and the bathroom has a zero-entry shower with a hand-held shower head. Note: The apartment is located on the ground floor of our 3-story home. We have teenagers and 2 small dogs. While the apartment is well insulated and modified for sound dampening, we don't recommend staying here if you require a completely silent living space - you will hear when kids are playing in the yard and running about in the house. Note: We do not have a land line telephone for the apartment. About our location: Our home is in a residential neighborhood within Ballard, just northwest of downtown Seattle. Located at the cross streets of NW 70th Street and 27th Avenue NW, we are a little less than a mile to the heart of Ballard's downtown where you will find coffee shops and lots of restaurants from which to choose. Four great coffee shops are just over a half mile away! We are three blocks or 0.2 miles from a bus stop that has two buses that will drop you off in the center of Ballard. About the neighborhood of Ballard: Ballard has been called 'a city within a city,' and has much to offer. A thriving waterfront and happening restaurant and entertainment scene have made this Scandinavian enclave one of Seattle's most fun areas. Here you'll find a diverse array of great restaurants, cute coffee shops, fun boutique shopping, the best pastries in the city (at Rosellini's Bakery), a year-round Farmers Market, +five grocery stores, a library, and more. You will be a short walk from Ballard's core and just down the hill from Phinney Ridge where the Woodland Park Zoo is located. The University of Washington and downtown Seattle are about 6 miles away. Ballard is a great neighborhood for biking, just minutes to the Burke Gilman Trail. There are multiple parks and playgrounds sprinkled within walking distance for workouts, picnics or playtime for kids and adults alike. The Hiram M.
