    What's special

    We love our sweet little house, but have to move for work. The house is two blocks from Lake Washington, and Martha Washington Park is just a half mile away with beaches for swimming or putting in kayaks. Bus 50 has a stop at the end of the block, and the Othello Light Rail Station is 0.7 miles away. Built in 1920, the house has tons of character, and is actually in really great shape. It has original fir flooring throughout the living room, dining room, and two bedrooms. Lots of big windows welcome in natural light. The bathroom is small, but functional, and the clawfoot bathtub is a plus. There are several built-in cabinets, which provide ample storage space, and the half of the basement that is unfinished will meet any additional storage needs. The wood burning fireplace will keep you cozy in the winter months. We are putting on a new roof before we leave. The third bedroom is the half of the basement that is finished. It can also be used as a second living room. The washer and dryer are located in the unfinished basement. The front yard is planted with a variety of evergreen and deciduous trees and shrubs. We have perennials and bulbs for added seasonal interest. There's an Italian plum tree, two blueberry bushes, and two espaliered apple trees. There's also a side yard with lawn, some gardening beds, and raised beds for planting veggies. Tenants who enjoy gardening are a plus, but we will arrange for gardening services. There are two parking spaces in the driveway, and additional unzoned parking on side streets. There is no street parking on our section of Seward Park Avenue. Our yard is fenced, but not dog-proofed. A cat and/or dog are negotiable with an extra deposit. Absolutely NO smoking or vaping in house. Tenant is responsible for water/sewer/garbage/electric. Screening criteria include satisfactory credit report; clean rental history (no evictions, favorable responses from previous landlords/references); proof of sufficient income to pay rent.
