While you might think such a property would be far from the convenience of shopping and dining, this Hickory Springs Rd property is only a couple of minutes off State Hwy 80s (just outside of Micaville), just 10 minutes from downtown Burnsville, 15 minutes from Spruce Pine, and a lovely short drive along State Hwy 80s to the entrance of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Enter this rental home from a short set of steps, then walk across the large, covered deck to the front entry. The covered deck is large enough to accommodate a large dining table plus a number of chairs for chilling out while enjoying the tranquil outdoors without being affected by wet weather. 1800 square feet is an approximation. Just inside the front door you are welcomed by a large kitchen with loads of floor space to move around, cabinet storage and counter space for food prep. The kitchen flows quite smoothly into the large adjoining living room, flooded with natural light beaming in through the front wall of windows. While this home has 3 bedrooms, one of the three is tucked between the other two. This particular bedroom also has it's own exterior door making it great for use as a home office. The other two bedrooms are quite spacious! There are two full size, one with a tub/shower combo, the other a walk-in shower. There is no AC, but there are many windows, great cross ventilation, 2 ceiling fans in the living room and a ceiling fan in two of the three bedrooms. There is a relatively new oil furnace, of which tenant is responsible for the fuel to heat the home. The water source is spring fed. The living quarters sit above a 3-bay garage, which also adjoins a 4-bay garage. None of the garage space is available for tenant use at this time (possibly this could change in the future). There IS a locking storage room just below the covered deck, which will be cleaned out for the resident tenant's use. There are 2 other homes on the property in addition to the subject residence. There would be only one other full-time, long-term resident, though. The other tenant resides outside of sight or sound of the subject residence. The largest home is the property owner's second home, which they visit for short windows of time periodically. TERMS & PERMISSIONS: A one-year minimum lease term is required.
