    Welcome to 80 Oxford St, Hartford. This 1910 multi-family is a first-floor apartment. It has a traditional living room, dining room, and kitchen on one side, with two bedrooms on the south side of the house. There is also a 3rd bedroom located on the 3rd floor with a private staircase leading directly to it. A large enclosed front porch rounds out the property. The biggest surprise is the highly efficient natural gas heat and central air! This is very rare for a multi-family to have high efficiency and newer heating systems, let alone to also have central air. In addition, there are newer vinyl Thermopane windows. You will have reasonable utility costs in this apartment and will be the envy of the neighborhood as one of the few multi-family houses with the central air! This apartment, like most in the West End, has a lot of character. There are original extra wide baseboard trim and window casings, along with crown molding in the living and dining room. The original fir floors with their natural red sheen are very attractive and easy to keep clean. We also include a washer and dryer that is located in the lower level. The kitchen, like most of the house, gets a lot of natural light from the oversized double hung window and back door. There is enough space in the kitchen for a small table. There is also an oversized pantry (basically another small room) right off the kitchen for all your storage. The West End is a very underrated location that has transformed over the last fifteen years with the boom in West Hartford Center. You are walking distance to some of the best diverse food options in the city, like Tangiers (falafels). Elizabeth Park is a couple of blocks away and has some great programs all year round, especially the free summer concert series on Wednesday nights or yoga in the park. This is a very walkable location to everything you would need like public transportation (bus stop 100' away), libraries, UConn law school, Hartford Seminary. You are less than 10 minutes to West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square where there is more outdoor music, dining, movies, and specialty cycling & yoga gyms. Downtown Hartford is a ten-minute drive. Highway access is less than a mile away. We have a very strict application process that focuses heavily on credit. A minimum 675 credit score is required. There is also a background check, employment verification, and income verification. Only one-month security deposit with a strong application. Pets considered on a case-by-case basis. Tenant is responsible for heat and hot water (gas) and electricity. Owner pays for cold water and all ground's care and snow removal. This is a great value for the location, space, and mechanicals.
