    This house is 3.5 blocks from the West Oakland Bart station, freeways and the Ferry; leaving you with tons of transit options (also great for a cyclist!) The house has a LOT of space! The entrance is up a flight of stairs. The front door opens up to an open floor plan with an extra large living room, half bathroom, dining room and kitchen. On the second floor, there are two bedrooms (one of which is a Master bedroom with full bathroom). Upstairs (3rd floor of the house) you will find another full bathroom next to two bedrooms plus a little space on the landing (an armoire? a getting ready table? cozy reading nook?). Bedrooms range in sizes (12X14, 11X12, 12X12). The main floor (2nd floor) also opens up to a small deck and a small side yard that will be shared with the tenant who lives in the in-law in the basement. Down a flight of stairs you will have access to laundry as well as a small amount of storage. Laundry is shared with the in law in the basement (basement in-law is not included in the rent). This house would be great for a group of roommates or a family. Lots of space, pictures do not do it justice. Parking: The parking space in front of the house does not come with the rental and is reserved for the owner of the house and/or the tenant in the basement in the in-law. The basement in-law unit will be occupied by the landlords son (with occasional visits from the landlord to visit son). Son will be helping to manage the house so if anything comes up; we can help right away. If you wanted to use the driveway for a specific block of time (unloading from camping trip, groceries...etc.) and checked in with the landlords son; he can let you use it and/or block in his car but it's important that when the landlord is there that the driveway be available. Landlords son would prefer to have a great relationship with above tenant. Neighbors are all very friendly and people do get to know each other/look out for each other. Street parking is usually easy to find within a block or two. There is construction on the street and during construction hours; parking can be more difficult. The landlord prefers to keep the utilities in their name (if that's a dealbreaker for you let us know and we can negotiate together) and have a system where the utilities are divided by the number of people in your unit and including Kai (the one tenant living in the basement unit) and dividing the total by number of each person in house. All bills will be posted for transparency. Landlord prefers no pets but will consider a pet with a pet deposit and will not discriminate against service animals.
