Huge 4 bedroom home with large bedrooms, large closets, and a large upstairs loft. House is in Dexter Schools in the Thornton Farms neighborhood which has a play area and a community swimming pool. Tenant pays all utilities (gas, electric, cable and water & sewer). I will consider well behaved dogs on a case by case basis but the rent and/or cleaning fee may be a bit higher. Sorry, no cats. My current tenant is leaving in very late June they are willing to let me show a few people though. I am vetting people first to make sure it is a good fit for all before scheduling a showing - both because of Covid, and to minimize disruption to my current tenant. There is some flexibility in what gets done before you move in. The listed rent is for a 12 month lease starting right after my current tenants move out, with existing carpet and paint (no work other than a thorough cleaning). The rent amount will be higher if someone feels like they need new carpet or new paint. I have worked with past tenants to allow them to do some painting after move in. It is really hard to get anyone to come and do anything these days and having an empty house while you try to track down contractors to do work is not ideal. Thus, a willingness to take the place as is in exchange for a lower rental rate, and/or a willingness to do some of the work yourself and/or to let some of it happen after you move if preferable to me, and it might also let me give you possession sooner as well. Having said that, if someone plans to stay for 2 years and they want to pay a little more for really nice carpet and new paint in the entire house, I would consider that request. I am also more willing to allow dogs if we are not replacing the carpet, as I have less to lose if the dogs cause a problem with the carpet. I think you get the idea.
