The Room: Looking for a student, recent graduate, or young professional to fill an upstairs bedroom available in a house of PhD students that is less than a mile from the University of Maryland campus! The bedroom has a spacious closet and is a room with ample light provided by two large windows overlooking the backyard. The room does not come furnished, but has lots of space to bring whatever you'd like -- A queen bed fits with plenty of room for dressers AND a desk. The bathroom is shared with one female tenant. The House: The house has one master bedroom on the first floor and four upstairs bedrooms. The two bathrooms upstairs are shared by two tenants each, and the primary bathroom downstairs is used as both the guest bathroom and the master bathroom. The house boasts a large, open-concept kitchen and dining room with new appliances (gas stove/oven, fridge, dishwasher, and double sink with garbage disposal) and a professional prep counter at its center. The living room has walls of windows that provide natural light which is currently furnished by the present tenants with a large couch, TV, and chairs. There is a full basement that is unfinished but has plenty of room for storage and is currently used as an exercise space. Finally, there is a big backyard with a fire pit, lights, and chairs that are perfect for an outdoor gathering or just relaxing during some downtime. The Amenities: Amenities include a laundry room with a new full-size washer and dryer, dishwasher, wifi, off-street parking and ample free on-street parking within the neighborhood. A small park is situated just across the street from the house, which sits in a quiet neighborhood filled with families, students, and recent grads. The house is less than a mile from the University of Maryland campus, with the Xfinity Center just a five-minute walk away. If walking or biking isn't your cup of tea, there is also a UM shuttle stop at the end of the street that runs regularly! Rent & Lease Special: The room will be available for a January 2026 move-in, with the current lease running from January 2026 to May 2026. If the tenant prefers, a yearly lease is available. Rent is $730 per month for the room, plus a one-time utilities deposit that is dependent on the lease term. Rent Special -- If you pay by semester (usually 6 months at a time), you will receive a 10% discount on your monthly rent! Message for additional info and to set up a tour! The current lease term is January 2026 to May 2026, but a 12-month lease can be signed if the tenant prefers. The property is smoke-free, and pets are not permitted. A single utility deposit is paid upon move-in (amount dependent on lease term), and utilities are deducted from that deposit each month. Any leftover utilities deposit is paid back to the tenant upon lease end. Lease special -- Pay 6 months at a time and get 10% off!
