Designed by Theophilus Chandler, founder and president of The University of Pennsylvania's architectural school, this unique and graceful home was built in 1888 for a Union general, who was one of the first recipients of the Medal of Honor. Also within walking distance are numerous entrances to the beautiful Wissahickon Valley of Fairmount Park with its many trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding and bird watching along with its picturesque stream with a covered bridge and waterfalls.
