Enjoy the convenience of amenities like a fitness room, sauna, jacuzzi, tennis, basketball courts, BBQ grills all on a 12-acre landscaped park like setting where the kids can run around and play yard games after a long day at the beach! We have two private beach access points - one with a gazebo and ramp - both have showers and foot wash stations. There are two pools - one gulf front that is 9 feet deep and the other which is seasonally heated at the clubhouse. Loungers and vending are nearby for your convenience.
The El Matador sits on a private stretch of beach at the end of the island - west is 12 miles of undeveloped barrier island so you will find much more space to spread out and enjoy the water and beach. We have beach service where you can rent paddleboards, kayaks or beach chair and umbrellas. We are also provide our own beach chairs and beach towels for your use!
While being on the quiet side of the island we are still near to the action should you choose to go out to the restaurants and attractions. We are 3 miles from the Gulfarium and The Pier and Boardwalk. We even have a new beachside restaurant serving up fresh seafood that is a block away! We have some of the most popular well-liked restaurants just a couple miles down the road from us along with mini golf, ice cream and gift shopping!
We are only 15 minutes from Crab Island in Destin where you find water amusement park, boat vending and snorkeling!

Must be 25 to check in/rent.
Absolutely no smoking or vaping inside or outside of the condo. Strictly enforced.
Beach chairs (4 +) are kept in bedroom closets. Beach towels will be provided as well and kept in same area.
Please wipe/wash off all sand before bringing beach gear back into condo.
A starter supply of soap and paper products will be provided.
Laundry facilities are located on each floor by the elevators.
This facility follows ADA service dog guidelines
(1) accompanying service animals must be disclosed during the reservation process for HOA and guard personal to document.
(2) the service dog must be with its person at all times - cannot be left unattended at any time.
(3) any damage caused by service animals will be charged to the occupant.
Lease agreement will be sent separately.
The short term fee (listed at $1) is FL and Okaloosa lodging tax and will be calculated when final price is determined. Currently 14% in total.
