Please note, the downstairs bedroom is accessed via its own door by the lower deck, not from inside the studio. The main level of the cottage comfortably sleeps four guests with a king-size bed and a full-size sofa bed. The downstairs bedroom, with its own half bath, accommodates three more guests with a king bed and a twin daybed. The studio's open layout and picture windows create a spacious feel, complemented by an extra-large screen room for enjoying nature. Blackout curtains and door window blinds ensure restful sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped with a Keurig, drip coffee maker, and French press, along with sweeteners, coffee, and creamers for your morning brew. Feel free to use items in the fridge and pantry. Pets are welcome, but only dogs are allowed. Please ensure they do not have accidents or track mud inside. A spray hose and towels are provided for cleaning their paws. Extra housekeeping services, including linen changes and cleaning, are available for an additional fee. The neighborhood offers a serene environment perfect for exploration. While the lake can be busy during summer, weekdays, mornings, and evenings remain calm. Lake Hickory Scuba and Marina is within walking distance, offering ice cream, coffee, and occasional live music. Riverbend Park, a 5-minute drive away, provides great hiking opportunities. Nearby dining includes Crossroads Grill, Apple City BBQ, and Brushy Mountain Restaurant. Hickory, 20-25 minutes southwest, offers a variety of dining, entertainment, and shopping options. Taylorsville, Bethlehem, and other nearby towns provide additional attractions and amenities. The ice maker in the freezer is not operational, so ice trays are provided. If the weather is nice and you wish to leave the doors open to the screen room, please turn off the A/C unit. A starter supply of essentials like paper towels, soaps, trash bags, and toilet paper is provided, but you may need to resupply for longer stays. Check-out is by 11 am. Please put all trash in outside containers, secure lake items, and leave used towels on the bathroom floor. Leave the bed unmade and used sofa bed linens on the king bed. Start the dishwasher or hand wash any used dishes, including dog bowls. Leave the door unlocked and hang up the key. Set the thermostat to A/C 74 or Heat 65 before leaving. The cottage offers Roku TV with Wi-Fi, allowing you to log into your own streaming accounts. A laptop computer is not included.
