George is a licensed builder and wife Bonnie have been involved in many residential restorations. 17 years ago we stumbled upon a ground level conch style home in need of a great deal of work. After a long thought process we decided to purchase and renovate this home. Today, after years of work, we are proud of our island home. We welcome you to enjoy this very unique, very private home.Island Conch Cottage A quaint ground level conch style cottage located at the end of a private street in a very quiet setting. Cottage and grounds have privacy fence and gate. The grounds are displayed as a sand beach setting. This property has 60' of canal frontage located on an extra wide canal and is less than 100' from the ocean. Off the dock you will enjoy beautiful ocean views. The dock is equipped with furniture and a barbeque grill. It is a very short distance from some of the best offshore and back water fishing in the world. Minutes away from the # 2 and # 5 channels which are famous for the tarpon run. Minutes from Flamingo National Park and Offshore to the reef with numerous areas for fishing, diving and snorkeling. This property is best suited for 1 or 2 couples that want to relax and enjoy what the beautiful Florida Keys has to offer. Lower Matecumbe is a small island less than 5 miles in length with very little commercial real estate. On this island you will be able to relax and blend in with the locals. In today's times scheduling a getaway can be difficult. We are willing to work with you on that schedule, including duration of your stay, check-in and check-out times, pet's will be considered on a per case basis. We enjoy a strong network with local marina's, charter captain's and business merchants. This might come in helpful when you are working on your vacation schedule.
