In the other direction, you're within easy walking distance of College Avenue, Ashby Avenue, and the UC Berkeley campus for cafes, food, and bus connections. Downtown Berkeley and Rockridge are both about a mile away. And bike commuting and riding in Berkeley is also an easy and safe option. There are student apartment buildings nearby, so things can occasionally be lively, but the ADUs backyard location and garden setting keep it relatively quiet overall.
