There is a park surrounded by houses and a community garden behind our house. Our house and neighborhood are perfect for a family and/or academics on sabbatical. We are less than a 10 min. walk to Harvard and Lesley Universities and 3 min. walk to restaurants, grocery stores, museums, etc. Both Harvard and Porter Square subway stops are within a short walk. Our house is located in the Agassiz-Harvard University neighborhood which is walkable and bikeable. Our house, built in 1874, is renovated and includes 3 bedrooms, a full bathroom and 2 half bathrooms on 2 floors. The downstairs living and dining rooms are on an open plan. An outside deck with table and chairs as well as a table in the kitchen allow a sunny meal as you look out into the park. Shade trees cool the house in the summer and there are also ceiling fans and window air conditioners. Other amenities include washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, internet, central vacuum, etc. We have a driveway on the property for parking attached to the house. we would like to rent the house for the academic year or longer but will consider shorter rentals. Smoking is not allowed inside or on the deck or porch. Barbecuing is not allowed on the deck or porch or close to the house.
