Since the short term rental market has been changing, we have decided to offer our beautiful retreat to longer term renters. Snowbirds who are looking to escape the cold winter, enjoy the southern California sunshine and perhaps play some golf! Our stunning desert oasis is the result of 2 years of hard work, renovating it ourselves and pouring a ton of love into it (and still working on it). It is our HOME (we spend half our time there), not just an investment rental property. It is therefore FULLY STOCKED and has all the amenities to make life comfortable and relaxing. . . Ideal destination for retired couples or families with older children*. * Not ideal for young children as certain aspects could be unsafe for unsupervised toddlers (pool is not fenced, non-fenced backyard, prickly plants, pond, wildlife, furniture corners, etc). Stylish furniture and decor throughout the house. Spacious home w/ open floor plan. 10 foot ceilings in some rooms. Bedrooms in 2 separate wings. You will enjoy 3 sexy & stylish bedrooms, each equipped with a smart TV, ceiling fan, bluetooth speaker, and more. The 2 primary bedrooms have CALIFORNIA KING beds, making sleep more comfortable for tall guests. Just upgraded one of our bathrooms. The second one is clean, cozy and... original, but next on the renovation list! *Wink* Mission Springs Water District in Desert Hot Springs (our home and pool water) was voted BEST WATER IN THE WORLD! (filled w/ lots of healthy minerals) We are at almost 1400 ft of elevation (1000 ft above Palm Springs), so we get views for miles! Desert Hot Springs is a developing town, therefore not known for its gastronomy but Palm Springs is just a short drive away with countless fabulous restaurants and great shopping. What our little town is known for is its amazing mineral water HOT SPRINGS, which is why it is also called "Spa City". Our property happens to be located in the "spa zone" with several spa hotels walking distance. The hot mineral water emerges from the ground at 120-160 degrees F and has to be cooled for use. Most resorts offer affordable day rates to enjoy their peaceful setting and magical waters. For the GOLF LOVERS: we have a great course in Desert Hot Springs, located about 10 minutes from our house (Mission Lakes Country Club). Also a 9 hole course (The Sands) that's even closer. Also, there are lots of great hiking trails in the area, and several right behind our house or at the end of our dead-end street. . A FEW OF THE AMENITIES: ~ Large dining tables for sit-down meals inside and outside (both seat 6) ~ Fully stocked chef's kitchen (cooking, baking, serving, etc) ~ Large fridge w/ ice maker and filtered water ~ Dishwasher ~ Garbage disposal ~ On site washer/dryer ~ Bar accessories to make fancy cocktails ~ BBQ grill ~ Gas fire pit (with full propane tank supplied) ~ Double hammock ~ We provide some cooking/baking basics (spices, major condiments, flour, sugar, oil, vinegar, etc) ~ Food processor ~ Vitamix Blender ~ Coffee maker & French Presses (with coffee) ~ Pool floaties ~ Pool loungers ~ Large, plush pool towels ~ Bathrobes + slippers ~ Electric fireplace ~ "Nest" thermostat for central AC/heat ~ Smart locks ~ Games, cards, books, magazines, art supplies ~ Yoga mats, blocks, straps ~ Massage table w/special sheets ~ Infrared heating therapy pad w/ gemstones ~ Luxury down comforters and pillows AND down alternative ones (in case of allergies) . THINGS TO KNOW: ~ No more than 6 PEOPLE on the property at any time, as per our rental insurance policy (both for overnight and/or day use). ~ Rental for 1 month minimum (4 weeks/28 days) and no more than 3 consecutive months. ~ Strict NO PETS POLICY due to severe allergies. We love animals but sadly, we can't have them in our home. ~ $1,500 security deposit is required to hold the dates. Fully refundable within 14 days of departure as long as nothing on the property is missing or damaged. ~ CANCELATION POLICY: deposit (+ any other rent/fees paid) fully refundable up to 60 days before check-in date. Up to 30 days of check-in date, 50% of rental amount paid will be refunded. Less than 30 days, no refund on rental amount paid*. ~ *Please note that additional fees (cleaning, pool/spa heating, security deposit) are always fully refundable in case of cancellation. Only rental amount applies to cancellation policies. ~ $300 cleaning fee. ~ POOL/SPA HEATING NOT INCLUDED but can easily be arranged for an extra fee (daily rate depends on season). ~ NO GARAGE ACCESS as that is where we store our personal belongings. But we have a large driveway and lots of street parking. ~ NO LIVE TELEVISION. Streaming offered through Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV and Amazon Prime platforms. ~ FULLY LEGAL and registered with the city: permit #VRP23-0030 *NOTE: We will be happy to show the property in person, or via a video call walkthrough. LEASE TERMS . - No more than 6 PEOPLE on the property at any time (both overnight or day use). - Rental available for 1 month minimum and no more than 3 months. - One month = 28 days - Additional weeks can be added at a rate of $1,500/wk (exception: Christmas/New Year week and Coachella Music Festival weeks will be at $2,000/wk). Additional days will be $215/day. - Monthly rent amount ($6,000) is for 28 day periods that DON'T INCLUDE prime weeks (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year, as well as Coachella Music Festival weeks). A "month" including one of those weeks will incur an extra $500 charge; it will be added to monthly rent amount. - Summer months (June, July, August, September) are considered low season due to the heat. Rent would be $4,000/month for that period, with additional weeks at $1,000/wk and days at $150/day. - Check-in can take place on any (available) day of a month (not necessarily on the 1st). - FULL rental amount + ALL FEES are due no later than 60 days before check-in (or at the time of reservation if booked less than 60 before arrival). - $1,500 security required to hold dates. Fully refundable within 14 days of check-out as long as nothing on the property is missing or damaged. - $300 cleaning fee due with first month's rent. - CANCELATION POLICY: deposit (+ any other rent/fees paid) fully refundable up to 60 days before check-in date.
