Rooms Available in Multi-Cultural Intentional Community "Casa de las Semillas" We're looking for housemates who resonate with a creative, musical, and purpose-driven way of life as we begin and build a diverse, intergenerational, engaged, warm and creative community Casa de Las Semillas Casa de Las Semillas, translated as House of Seeds, is an intentional community situated on Ohlone land, in North Oakland. It includes two houses and a studio on two spacious lots. In addition to a shared living room, kitchen, dining room, laundry room, space for bikes and storage, communal areas also include a welcoming front porch, a back deck with skyline view, and a large organic garden. We're very close to multiple bus routes and walking distance to bart. There are currently four of us who are cultivating this vision and we are opening our doors to 4 other community members! Who We Are We are a group of community-oriented people, coming from a diversity of cultures and places, including the Ewe people of West Africa, from Philadelphia, El Salvador and Italian-American origins. We work in education, are dedicated to collective power building, healing, work with youth in Oakland public schools, in mental health, disability rights, organize for immigrant rights, facilitate restorative justice circles, practice jiu-jitsu, yoga and meditation, love to play music, dance, paint, cook and garden! We're Looking For Housemates who are aligned with our values and energy.
