Single occupancy only on one side of the cabin fully furnished. Your space is a Junior Studio with small kitchenette (small fridge with freezer to fit ice cream, combo microwave/convection/air fryer, small coffee maker, toaster, hot plate), private bath with bathtub/shower, separate access through gate. Near the Bigfoot Museum on Hwy 9 and Henry Cowell State Park. Retired owner lives in the other space separate from the jr. studio
Easy access to Santa Cruz, UCSC, Ben Lomond, Bonny Doon, Scotts Valley. Close amenities within 1 mile in Felton. The cabin is in a neighborhood with redwood trees, wildlife such as turkeys, coyotes, raccoons and skunks. I open the studio for a minimum 30 day stay or more needed by someone who a visiting professional, or someone needing temp housing. I have a 12 year old very sweet pug. I am retired and travel frequently.
We are on a small septic system, so single occupancy only and special care is needed for food scraps into the trash, toilet paper awareness, single ply septic safe is provided - no wipes.
Felton has a little bit of everything, local restaurants such as Redwood Pizzeria, Empire Grill, The Cowboy, great coffee shop White Raven, Hallcrest Winery and an Wild Roots Market organic grocery. The community has first Friday Art walks, Tuesdays Farmers Market, Monty's famous small town bar and a music venue Felton Music Hall. Extensive hiking trails and Henry Cowell State Park. Roaring Camp has many events throughout the year. And close by is Scotts Valley or Santa Cruz for movie theaters and shopping.
Single occupancy only in fully furnished junior studio, no overnight guests or pets. This is a month to month a small studio rental for 1 month to 6 months with possible extension based on cleanliness, comfort level and personality blending. Private access through side gate. Maintain quiet hours from 10pm - 8am. Cabin is divided into two spaces The landlord occupies other side of cabin.
No cigarette smoking on premises, but medicinal/recreational allowed outside on either front porch or backyard deck.
Renter is expected to clean up after themself, keep their bathroom clean, use septic safe tp which is provided, ensure rules for septic tank are followed (all food scraps in trash, and no wipes etc in toilet) There may be a $150 cleaning fee assessed at move out.
Skills desired for possible work on property paid in cash (but not necessary) is someone with handyman skills and/or yard maintenance skills.
Housemate details
Owner lives on other side of cabin, separate from the junior studio. I have a 13 year old pug. I am retired and socialize with local friends. I enjoy a quiet lifestyle watching the birds and wildlife in the area.
