This is a new construction, tiny (tall!) home with an open floor plan and 10'-14' ceilings, located in the old town neighborhood in the heart of Gulf Shores, which is the up and coming Waterway Village entertainment district where walking, bicycling, and community are the primary focus. Very safe neighborhood for the walking and only Two blocks from Meyer Park (weekly free music every spring and fall, basketball courts for kids) and two more to Big Beach Brewery (great locals gathering spot with lots of music and family friendly atmosphere) with plenty of choices local restaurants, coffee shops, and other amenities in the neighborhood. Rouses and Walmart less than 5 minutes away, and a 7 minute drive to the beach with an easy route that skips the dreaded traffic of HWY 59. Boat launch under the 59 bridge is maybe three minutes away. The neighborhood is full of friendly locals who call Gulf Shores their home.
There is a loft with a ladder where any size mattress you'd like will fit. Optionally, you can have a bed downstairs (we had a queen sized bed along with a couch in the living space when we had a newborn. Not a whole lot of floor room left but enough to walk around no problem). I personally built this home in '23 and know everything there is to know about it. We've only lived in it for a year, no pets. Stained concrete floors throughout except for the loft which has a plush rug and the bathroom which is tiled. Very nice tiled shower done by a professional (not me). Everything here was built for my wife and I, who are both moderately tall individuals (5'10" and 6'1" respectively). The counters, kitchen sink, and kitchen table (which doubles as my standing desk) are tall oriented. We like chopping in an upright position instead of bent over like a normal house. There's a large covered porch with a fan that is wonderful from fall to spring and alright on summer mornings and evenings. I own the house next door as well, and there is a vegetative fence growing to separate the two lots. There is no fence separating you from the quiet street out front. So be aware if you have a pet.
Lots of yard space with freshly planted citrus and fig trees as well as lots of herbs. There's a fire pit in the front yard and a fish cleaning station along the back fence. There's a gravel parking area beside the house where two cars can comfortably fit.
We are moving to a house right down there street so will be easily available for maintenance help or anything else that comes up. Pets are on a case by case basis, and there will be an increase in rent and security deposit depending on the animal. Let me know any questions!
Utilities (electric, water, trash, fiber internet) are included in the rent price. If the water bill becomes excessively high, the difference will be covered by renter. Pet fees are not included in the base rate. Smoking allowed outside only. You have your own parking gravel driveway.
