Room details
Retired accountant with a long history of successful and peaceful roommate relationships, seeks to share the costs of living in a home that feels like you are living in a Nature retreat. The food forest garden produces a series of edibles starting with nettles (stinging nettles a powerful multivitamin plant), mints, sorrels, onion greens, berry season of goumis, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, mulberries then plums. Then harvested foods include tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers etc and aplenty to share. Then Fall harvest includes figs, pomegranates muscadines and persimmons. To live here is magical but it requires a lot of work which is not for you to do. Permaculture gardening is my hobby you get to enjoy to benefits of its abundance and its tranquility.
I believe an ideal roommate would be one that could benefit from close proximity to a growing small town walking distance to Planet fitness, restaurants, bus route, highway 485, well maintained public parks next door to a storage facility (roommates have downsized after a marriage for example) and if one is into Nature, the food forest is simply glorious at certain times of the year. Uncovered driveway parking available for cars with no oil leaks. Must pass credit and background checks before any rental contracts signed.
1. My home hosts 3 roommates, me being 1 of the 3. The rooms are substantial distance apart keeping privacy possible while also having the comfort of not living alone. 3 bedrooms are available for rent and a finished 2 car garage is also a negotiable for those of us with hobbies or increased privacy needs. It overlooks the frog pond / behind the muscadine grape arbor and has its own patio area. Bedroom size is 10 x 10.
2. My home is Vegan and I prefer to roommate with someone who does not cook animal products. I don't use harsh cleaning products but would if meat was being cooked. My home is also designed for much fresh eating and eating food that is "in season". For example, I order 40 lbs of Ruby's Raw Peanuts and Stephen's Farm's flax seed annually which incorporating into vegan meals all year long.
3. No pets I now have 3 feral cats that are now house kitties. You must LOVE cats this home has 3 very curious and lovable ones.
