Partially furnished with desk, night stands, two book cases, queen sized, 6 in. tall, solid cedar plank bed frame . Shared great room with remodeled kitchen. Granite counters, large fridge, 6 burner stove, lots of kitchen tools and cabinet space, canning equipment, farm table, couch and chair. Shared 12 ft x 12 ft deck, 12 ft x 20 ft covered back porch with swing. Shared garden raised beds , produce available. Shared greenhouse. Opportunity to can, freeze and eat organically. This is a 5 acre homestead. Sheep and chickens graze an orchard of apples and pears, with a newly planted persimmon and fig tree. There is a pond for irrigating the orchard. Barn and tree swallows, 20 something bird houses, and red wing blackbirds. They help to minimize the loss of chickens that free range. Being protective of their babies, they fly at the hawks. There's a sheep dog that is protective of the property. A tiny house is sited on one corner of the property and is rented out to a woman in her mid 20's. She shares, works one of the 40 ft raised beds for growing herbs. There's a small farm stand by the roadside where eggs, plants and produce are sold. After one month roommate agreement, and if this is a good fit for you, a one year lease will follow. A year allows for an experience of all the seasons and a full cycle of Nature. Reading and writing, camping and hiking, planting and growing. If you can learn about feeding the sheep, collecting the eggs, it would allow me to camp and get away. I have a daughter in Northern CA, another in Madison, WI. Family in rural Western NY, South of Buffalo, and an Ohana (extended family) in Hawaii. Your help on the farm for extended getaways can be bartered for reduced rent. When able to get away, I go to Hawaii for a month in the late Winter/early Spring.
