We offer a private room in a second-floor apartment inside a quiet, 55-unit doorman elevator building located in Carnegie Hill, one of the most charming and residential neighborhoods of New York City's Upper East Side. Stairs or elevator. It's a great location to enjoy and explore the unique arts and culture of the city since it's within a ten minute walk to numerous museums, the cultural center the 92 Street Y, as well as Central Park. Plan on a welcoming dinner with us featuring authentic New York brick oven pizza! We are very knowledgeable residents of New York City and can assist you in finding your way around town if you are not familiar with our city. In addition we can advise you about restaurants, cultural activities, the Theater District, tourist events, and more if you wish.
The room is a freshly painted space with brand-new furniture and plenty of natural light. The room has a full-size bed, plenty of storage space including an armoire with a built in closet, and an innovative layout with a vanity that works as a desk. Utilities included. There's also a smart TV, Frigidaire mini-fridge exclusively for the renter's use, double-sided bookcases for nightstands, a bench with storage baskets, and a full-length mirror. Two large windows bring in remarkable light during the day, and updated furnishings give the space a clean and fresh vibe.
You will share a fully equipped bathroom with a wide mirror and a standard shower with an adjustable nozzle. The bright, airy kitchen has a modular setup with quartz countertops, modern appliances, and everything you would need to cook or reheat. There is a dining table that seats four. The comfortable living room is inviting with a big sofa, a recliner, a coffee table, and a smart TV. There's also tasteful artwork, lamps, and a chandelier. It's ideal if you're looking for a quiet and serene atmosphere with just the right personal touch. An oasis amid the bustling metropolis.
The apartment has access to a shared courtyard, with tables and chairs for relaxing outside. Washers / dryers are on-site (pay-per-use), and street parking is available, with nearby garages if you need something regular. Just a heads-up: a pet cat is living in the apartment, so this space is best suited for someone who''s cat-friendly or doesn't have allergies.

Rent is due once a month 20 days before each monthly rental period begins. There are no utility costs charged to the renter. There is a one time $100 non-refundable deposit to hold the room for the renter, and a $150 non-refundable one time cleaning deposit. Renter is welcome to use the kitchen and it's facilities.
We expect renters to keep the room clean and tidy. The room's furniture and appliances (mini fridge, lamps, and television) are not to be moved around and rearranged.
