This space will not be for everyone. It is decidedly tiny and just wonderful for a minimalist human who enjoys outdoor / indoor living. The Cottage has it's own private yard area with picnic table & benches. Our property has a lovely and spacious yard (shared space) surrounded by mature trees. The yard is very well maintained and has been described as "magical". There's a large, seasonal, permaculture garden that you are invited to pick from and plant in. Many fruit trees: peach, plucot, plum, nectarine, lime, apple, avocado, grapefruit and cactus fruit. We have chickens! The Cottage is chicken coop adjacent. You WILL hear chicken noises. Nestled near the base of the San Gabriel mountains, in the sought after Historic Highlands neighborhood, you'll love this peaceful neighborhood. The homes here are mostly single family homes from 1920's development. Absolutely charming to walk our tree lined streets. Take a stroll just a couple blocks down to the Shops on Hill area with great coffee shops, restaurants, hair & nail salons, gyms & more. Near JPL, Caltech & downtown Pasadena. Located just 15 minutes to downtown LA. Easy access to the metro & the bus. My family and I live in the main home. We try our best to live a sustainable lifestyle. We compost, conserve water and energy and grow an abundance of our own food in our large permaculture garden. We have a flock of chickens on the property and we are happy to share fresh eggs.
