Vacant Lot- 1. What does it take to get power and water to the lots? Lot 35 had power to it at one time. Power should just be a request to Potomac Edison. Water is different - you need to have a perk test for septic completed. 2. Do lots in those parts of the community normally perk for septic? There were two approved septic permits within the past year. One was for a new system and one was an illegal septic made legal (was grandfathered under old perk requirements). Both Septic permits were obtained by BK Grove & Sons (Kevin Grove) 304-283-3628. Apparently, Kevin is pretty good at looking at terrain and giving an opinion on perkable or not. Please feel free to give Kevin a call to discuss. 3. Access to the lots? The community is open and the lots are accessible. The community roads are gravel and there is at least one hill prior to the lots. Each lot has an overgrown driveway cutout. 4. Is there a home owners association? Yes, Westridge Hills Owners Association. They can be reached at 304-607-2850 or whoapresident@westridgehillshoa.com. The HOA president (Denise) is super helpful. 5. Are there any HOA encumbrances which would limit the use of the lots? Yes - the community covenants can be found at https://www.westridgehillshoa.com/p/Covenants-and-Bylaws-filings. The County has further restrictions based on area and size of lots. You would need to contact them for county restrictions. 6. Are there detailed records on the lots? Go to Jefferson County Property records web site at http://jefferson.wvassessor.com:8080/JCParcelViewerCounty/index.html and search under the last name Youngbar. This offers detail on the lots. 7. What is the address for the lots? The lots do not have a street address currently. Not sure why, but they do not. According to the HOA president, the closest viable address is 491 Maple Lane, Harpers Ferry, WV. I believe the above web site and associated mapping tool should help in finding the correct lots. 8. Are the lots marked? No. We live out of state and have not been to the lots in over 20 years, so I’m sure they are very overgrown.
